Feedback from Tax Can be Relaxing

Mel Elliott, an Independent Occupational Therapist, has written a précis of the Tax course run in July to send to COTSS-IP for the next journal. Here is a flavour of it:

“… Michael Bennett, Chartered Certified Accountant, delivered the course and was an excellent speaker with a tremendous amount of experience and advice to share ... Everyone came away with a much better understanding of what financial records were essential and how to go about gathering, recording and storing this information. The course also allowed for some lengthy discussion on what constituted expenses and how to work out what percentage of costs could be claimed against tax if working from home ... A greater understanding on the differences between sole traders and companies (limited and unlimited) was gained by all ... Gaining an insight into the Receiver of Revenue was very helpful in dispelling some of the fears that lack of knowledge can bring ... All in all it was an informative and hugely valuable day that is to be recommended. Michael Bennett was entertaining and very accommodating of the many, many questions that the attendees had for him ... Highly recommended.”
