Feedback from our first CPR / Manual Handling Course
Having been approached by a colleague to run this course we wanted to make sure it met people's needs before running another. The feedback highlighted that overall the delegates felt the course met their expectations. They found the CPR/AED refresher section of the day very useful and that 1/2 day was enough to cover all the basic information. However it was agreed that 1/2 day refresher course to bring up to date with Manual Handling Legislation and other current issues was just not enough. Feedback stated that it would have been useful to have had pertinent information to read prior to the course and that the information given by the speaker was a little too slow; also the delegates came from such a variety of clinical backgrounds that it was difficult to discuss all areas in the given time. Therapy Learning are going to do the following to address these comments to ensure the next course ...
The next Manual Handling update / refresher course for independent practitioners will be given over a full day.
We will try and group interested people into specific areas so delegates have the same work / interest areas.
Basic current information on legislation, risks and assessment will be sent out for pre-reading before the course (with consent from trainers)
We will investigate what other session we can cover to accompany the CPR / AED training. As independent practitioners have busy schedules we feel a full days training is more worthwhile from a time management point of view. Any suggestions are very welcome.
Please get in contact if you are interested in coming on either of the above courses.
