Therapy Learning Delegate Terms and Conditions

Therapy Learning wishes the experience of attending a course arranged by Therapy Learning to be of ‘star quality’. The following terms and conditions will help achieve that aim. (If you have any feedback to improve the experience for a delegate, please let either Viv or Trish know and we will happily consider the suggestion.)

Booking

Bookings are accepted by post to the Therapy Learning address complete with a cheque for the whole fee. Therapy Learning will confirm a place on the course by e-mail. Completion of the registration form denotes that the delegate will abide by the terms and conditions.

Fee

There is an ‘early bird’ fee which is accepted up to and including the date indicated on the booking form. Registration forms and full early bird fee must arrive at the Therapy Learning address by the date stated in the advertisement. After that date the full fee must be paid. Therapy Learning cannot accept responsibility for early bird bookings arriving later than the date stated. Payment must be received prior to the course starting. The fee includes lunch and three refreshment breaks. No invoices can be raised by Therapy Learning.

Directions

Directions for courses will be displayed on the Therapy Learning Web site.

Hotel accommodation

Booking of the hotel is the responsibility of the delegate. Therapy Learning will negotiate a reduced rate with the course hotel for a number of rooms to be held for our delegates for the course. These must be booked in advance as the hotel will only hold them until three weeks before the course date. Any dietary requirements for meals taken outside the course refreshments (e.g. breakfast and evening meal) are the responsibility of the delegate to inform the hotel.

Delegate special requirements

Any requirements for access or dietary needs must be indicated on the booking form by delegates.

Certificates of Attendance

Certificates of Attendance for your Continuing Professional Development will be available at the end of each course. 

Cancellation

Cancellations made in writing (e-mail accepted) before the early bird expiry date will receive a full refund. Cancellations received in writing (e-mail accepted) after the early bird expiry date and a week before the closing date will receive 50% of the fee refunded. Cancellations received after this date will not be entitled to a refund.

Delegate substitution

If you are unable to attend the course and wish to substitute a colleague this is possible. However any special requirements may not be able to be accommodated if this happens just one week prior to the course date. Printed name badges may not be available and Certificates of Attendance will be sent after the course.

Confirmation of delegate place

Confirmation of a place on the course will be sent out by Therapy Learning by e-mail. If a course is over subscribed then cheques will be returned and, with agreement from the potential delegate, a reserve list will be set up. The reserve list will consist of five places. If the demand is greater, Therapy Learning will start a waiting list for a repeat of the course. People on the reserve list and waiting list will receive pre-notice of a repeated course.

Receipts

Are issued in e-mail form or are available at the registration desk on the day of the course. Delegates will indicate if they would prefer a receipt on the course day. Therapy Learning prefers to send a receipt by e-mail.

Therapy Learning is run by two Independent Occupational Therapists, Vivienne Chamberlain and Trisha Nutter. We have strong feelings about what is required to make a training course an enjoyable and worthwhile experience – from the initial details received, to reasonable costs, comfortable surroundings and, of course, the actual quality of the training.
