Welcome to the Therapy Learning website.
Therapy Learning runs training courses specifically for independent practitioners, focusing on business and CPD requirements. We arrange training packages that we feel to be of benefit to all practitioners. Top quality trainers will be sought for each different topic. Courses will mainly be held in venues in mid-England to offer a central venue to as many people as possible. However we will respond to requests to take courses to other locations should there be enough demand. We will always seek the best accommodation deals with the hotel venues. We aim to provide star quality learning by therapists for therapists. Please click on any of the purple headings for more information.
Therapy Learning provides professionals with spacious and comfortable environments conducive to learning. Training will always be of a high standard with top quality speakers. We believe that networking is as important as the training. We pay attention to every detail.
We aim to help delegates meet the following HPC standards:
- demonstrate that their CPD activities are a mixture of learning activities relevant to current or future practice
- seek to ensure that their CPD has contributed to the quality of their practice and service delivery
- seek to ensure that their CPD benefits the service user

Working Independently within the Law 2010
As Independent Therapists this is an exciting and essential course to improve our understanding of the Legal System, Negligence Liability, Consent to Treatment and how we Document and Keep Our Records. In our working practice we must ensure we have this knowledge. This is your opportunity to come and learn what you need to know about the Legal System – be informed not fearful. One delegate who last attended this course said: “A MUST attend for all health professionals, not only independent practitioners. Brilliant speaker!” Another said “ESSENTIAL ATTENDENCE – will ensure that as a therapist you do not become complacent”. New to 2010: to also discuss the impact of Social Networking relating to the Data Protection Act & laws around privacy. Following our professional Code of Ethics must be adhered to at all times when portraying ourselves in the public arena.

Basic Coaching Skills for Therapists and Health Professionals
Coaching is a powerful approach to working with individuals and groups. It enables people to work towards what they want rather than what they don’t want. It is being fast recognised as the “missing link” in helping people to change health beliefs, raise self efficacy and develop sustainable plans. This day is aimed at independent practitioners who want to explore coaching and consider using it as part of their professional “tool kit”. It aims to provide some practical tools, hands-on practice and personal experience of coaching. It will show how coaching not only benefits our clients, but also supports our own personal and business development.
